In May three of my friends were bit by the modeling bug and called me over for a shoot. We set up in their lovely & spacious old house, and with an excellent wardrobe to draw from as well as conveniently monochromatic walls we created some stylish, eerie, and beautifully confrontational images.
In keeping with the spontaneous spirit lighting was simple and informal: all found lights and lamps with minor use of a reflector/diffuser. I've also experimented with a technique for more accurate color balancing in some of these images; I was pleasantly surprised by the results.
The muses for this session are Kait, fair-skinned and fiery-haired; the golden Crystal; and scandalous Elyse. To round out the series I'll be posting some behind-the-scenes photos at the end (I consider these types of images delightful bonuses when I find them in others works, so I always try to capture and include a few myself).
Enjoy, and remember to thank them--they do this for love, not money.
